Casino expansion required opening new facilities in two dozen mini-phases to insure uninterrupted existing operations. Site constraints lead to the construction of a 21,000 square foot soil nail retaining wall to establish the parking structure building pad. Site conditions required blasting a large granite hillsides to create the roads and parking areas.
Challenges The Valley View Casino expansion project challenges included constructing the expanded casino literally around the existing operation on all four sides, without disturbing customer service and revenue. The Program Management team also integrated Owner activities and facilitated Owner decisions so that a collaborative environment resulted in the expected results. Our home office and on-site personnel established all procedures, goals, tracking formats, and completion targets required.
Services In our role as Owner’s Representative, we provided oversight and budget/schedule control for all vendors required to complete design and construction.
